Salzburg Airport, which is also called as W A Mozart Airport is the second largest airport in Austria. It is an airport that produces jobs and also plays role as a strong investor to boost the economy and tourist industry as well. It was named after a composer who was born in Salzburg called Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The airport lies at a distance of 1.7 NM west-southwest from the city centre and also 2 kilometre from the Austrian-German border. This airport is actually a gateway to many huge ski areas in Austria like the Ski Amade region which is the major network of linked ski resorts in Europe.

The airport could be found at the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse 95 which is in the city of Salzburg. The airport has its code as SZG and also has over all three Terminals. Though the airport is handling so much of airlines and charters still it is developing its areas to serve the passengers well. A new terminal has been opened for the operations of winter ski charter that operates only during Saturdays. It is actually considered as the new Terminal 2. Basic facilities are available at the airport to offer a good service to the passengers and also make them comfortable.
