But reality has proven them wrong, and airports all over the world have been beefing up their security measures. Airports have always been a target for terrorists and other criminals. Due to the sheer large number of people that go through airports everyday, coupled with the possibilities with a hijacked air craft, terrorists are attracted to use airports as their home base. Land Use in Australian Airports

Gradually over the years, “the changes in ownership of Australian airports have been very significant. In the first instance, the Australian government developed responsibility of aerodromes and civil airports through the Aerodrome Local Ownership Plan. Profits a must for the airlines

Flight timings aren’t the only thing which is padded by the airline industry. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said that the global airline industry would not be able to make enough profits following the financial crisis. But the crisis did not make any difference to the profits made by the airline industry. According to a recent announcement made by the IATA, the airline industry made an aggregate profit of $2.5 billion. The demand for seats is on the rise and people are traveling a lot these days. Poor Ground Operations Occurrences at Australian Airports

It is believed that the aviation industry has been extremely slow when risks related to ground operations had to be realized. “While most occurrences on airport aprons and taxiways do not have consequences in terms of loss of life, they are often associated with aircarft damage, delays to passengers and avoidable financial costs to industry”. The main focus of this report is to analyse and examine the ground occurrences which involve high capacity aircraft operations. Mangalore Airport incident: Search continues for Black Box

A worst nightmare took its place on Saturday 23 May, when the Air India Express airliner crashed outside the Mangalore Airport. This major incident killed 158 people out of which 8 people has miraculously survived. Right on the same day of the incident, all the bodies were recovered. However, one thing that has remained a mystery is the Black Box. Officials are still searching the crucial black box, so that they could get into the conclusion. In this case, all the debris and the bodies were found, but the black box is yet to come out from the curtain. The officials have found the cockpit voice recorder of the Boeing 737-800 on Sunday morning. Flights facing disruptions due to the volcanic ash in Europe

It is now a month after the highly clouds of volcanic ashes in Europe has disrupted all the flights to and from the continent. All the flights and the airports were badly hit by the ash clouds that covered the sky heavily. Volcanic ashes in Europe were actually emerged from Iceland, which after some continuous days was come to a halt. Seems like the world called Europe was stopped without functioning further. Japan Airlines: Hitch to American Airlines and Ditch to Delta

The kitten is out of bag, Japan Airlines (JAL) and American Airlines strengthening the partnership and even applying for Approval of Antitrust Immunity!
