In the year 1997, the runway 05/23 was shut down and is only used today for the large aircraft like Airbus A340 and Boeing 747 in purpose of parking with refueling and cleaning.

With the airport code EZE, the airport today boasts total two terminals and offers an official website named www.aa2000.com.ar. The airport in the year 2007 has announced its major expansion and investment plans, which covers the new terminal building, car parking facilities, and control tower. This expansion project is about to complete in the year 2010 or 2011. The terminals are though can be easily, as they are within the walking distance. With good parking spaces, the airport offers excellent facilities for the car to park. It has multi-storey covered parking garage where you can park your car and also has open-air parking lot.
