This airport is also known as Montreal-Pierra Elliott Trudeau International Airport and officially it is called as Montreal-Dorval International Airport. This airport lies at a distance of 25 kilometres towards the western direction of Montréal.

As you have understood that this airport is an international airport that serves the Greater Montreal along with areas of northern Vermont and New York. This airport is operated by the Aeroports de Montreal which is a non-profit corporation without share capital. This airport is owned by the Transport Canada which has its code as YUL and also has an official website called www.admtl.com. The airport has one terminal that serves the passengers from all over the world. This is the busiest airport in the province of Quebec and is the third busiest in Canada as per passenger traffic. Also it is the fourth busiest airport as per aircraft movements with 225,219 aircrafts movements in the year 2008. Every year this airport serves more than 12,813,199 passengers. The airport is among the main gateways into Canada with 7,535,232 passengers from non-domestic flights which are the highest proportion within all the airports in Canada.

To reach to this airport, drive along the Cote-de-Liesse Hwy-520. The airport lies off the east-west Hwy-20. After reaching there, you can park your car at short or long term parking. A free shuttle service functions from the long term and Econoparc facilities and departs at every 15 minutes. With this, valet parking is also available outside the terminal building. Hire a car from the car companies representing the airport. For transportation you have buses and taxis that will take you to your destination in the city.

There are information desks situated on Arrivals and Departures level. Throughout the airport you will get courtesy telephones. The airport provides facilities like ATMs, bureaux de change, post office, wireless internet access, many internet stations, bars, restaurants, cafes, duty-free and other shops, luggage facilities, prayer room, first aid and others. The airport does not provide any conference facilities but VIP lounges with fax machines and computer terminals are available. Photocopy service is provided by the airport on the Departures level.
