This airport is the second largest airport of the country and is commonly used by tourists for holidays in western Cyprus that offers access to well-known resorts like Coral Bay, Limassol and Paphos. A new terminal for Paphos was opened during November 2008 to serve the passengers. This airport serves 1,744,011 passengers every year.
