This airport is named due to its historic city of Carthage that is situated at the north of the airport. This airport is the base of operations for four distinct airlines and they are Tunisair, Nouvelair Tunisia, Sevenair and Tunisavia. In the year 2007, this airport served 3,930,661 passengers. This airport provides services like bus and taxi but no railway are there to serve the airport.
